The usual keyboard with emojis problem
The emoji and animated GIFs of Fallout CHAT can be used in any app messaging: Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram... The problem is that, as with other alternate keyboards, emojis are sent as images.
This is purely a technical issue: emojis have a specific format, and anything that deviates doesn't work in the same way. Yes, receiving images of Vault Boy it is fun - especially if you're a fan of Fallout 4 and all previous games - but it is not as fluid an experience as you may hope.
Regarding keyboard keys, the round typewriter aesthetic Bethesda has chosen proves less comfortable and responsive than usual keyboards.
Fans will love it
As an alternative keyboard, Fallout CHAT is not particularly good. It is missing some characters and other important features. But for Fallout fans it is great. So, if you love the series, go ahead and download it!
